Announcement
I had hoped there would never come such a time that I would have to announce a hiatus, but the time is here and there’s not much I can do about it. I had a home break-in earlier this week and a lot of stuff was stolen. Among that stuff was some of the equipment I use to make this comic. It’s going to take me a little bit of time to gather the things I need to get back to work on Culture Shock, but I’ve already started ordering them. Give me a few weeks (maybe only two!) and I hope to have updates coming in again.
Hiatus is one of the most common comic-killers. That’s why I’m not going to use this as a vacation. I’ll continue to plan and sketch until my hardware gets in… but there’s also insurance things and home security to worry about, plus I’m still putting in heavy overtime at work, so I know I’ll be limited for a little bit.
Don’t worry too much about me. Nobody was hurt and the things they stole were replaceable. Plus, my home was insured. But in the meantime I’m putting out a little call for guest pages or guest art, if you have the time. If not, that’s cool. If all goes well, I only need to cover two weeks. How awful, Hawk! I’m glad it was just stuff and everyone is okay, but still. I know it’s upsetting on many levels to have had someone enter your home uninvited.
Take care of yourself… we will still be here whenever you’re ready to pick it back up again.
Oh man, that’s gotta be hard on you. I hope they can catch the guy and recover your stuff.
Actually my mom’s car was broken into just last week. I hope they catch that guy too.
Completely understand; hope you get your stuff and hopefully something will be done about the thief. You should take as much time as necessary.
