If she was carrying any money on her, it would be worth a fortune today.
She came from before we had the Federal Reserve. Her coins are made with actual silver.
Personally I’m more concerned about the fact that she doesn’t have a permit for those firearms. Better hope they have an open carry law!
In the middle of a rain storm, and at night. She sure picked a hell of a time to show up at a future city. Gonna be quite the… uhh, well… quite the culture shock for her.
I love the look of confusion on her, no idea what just happened, why she sees what she does, where her town went, none of it. Most of the rest of the interim backstory isn’t as important at this point. But what is important is that by the time she arrived in the (relative) present era, she had very little experience being a sheriff, likely only a few hours of accepting it herself before confronting the stranger on the street.
But times were different when she lived, she knew to be careful in new places, not share much of her business with strangers. She’d heard of electricity and telephone technology if she hadn’t ever seen it herself. Computers would be new-fangled, but easily enough accepted as contraptions that had clockwork in them. It’s less of a shock for her than it was for Alec or Brooke.
With any luck, maybe the guy inside the cafe saw the witch materialize out of nothing right outside his door, and then saw Sally do the same, and put two and two together.
Hrm…I have a sneaking suspicion this is actually the origin of our “modern” Sally. The face, the hat, the guns…with rampant time travel and witchcraft abounding, it’s not beyond the realms of comic continuity. Sally is pretty smart and she’s open-minded and progressive…especially for her era…and if a ninja, a knight, and an elf can survive the modern world, why would a cowgirl lern any slower?
And now she hears the devil’s music for the first time AKA 50’s rock and roll.
A cup of coffee after all that would hit the spot.
How does she intend to look after herself?
@sydimini I don’t think she had any idea where, or when, she would show up.
