#515 Lane’s Message
I put two polls up on the site, to the right of comic. I’ve been curious about which characters people like. If you can spare a few seconds please vote for your favorite characters (there’s no need to sign up or log into anything). And if you want to explain why you voted for them, feel free to explain in the comments section. And if one of your favorite characters wasn’t included in the poll, I’d be curious to know who it is.
Maybe I’ll make wallpapers of the winning characters. Or maybe they won’t die in an upcoming story arc. I don’t know. Mostly I’m just curious.
My male vote went to Tadashi. A lot of the cast are fairly stock in design (not saying that’s a bad thing) but part of what makes Tadashi stand out is he tends to have the most dynamic interactions with all the rest of the cast. A hefty chunk of the humor tends to feed particularly off of Tadashi as he’s probably the oddest mix of awkward and well-adjusted.
I ended up voting for Brooke for similar reasons, esp with the effort put into all her expressions and reactions.
I picked Alec and Dana. Really Alec and Tadashi are equal, though – having either one without the other one to play off of would probably get boring.
My least favorite character is Sunny, though. I know she’s been through a lot, but she’s quite the jerk.
It was REALLY hard not to vote for Meinji, but if I’m being honest my vote had to go to Tadashi. He’s the most enjoyable and grounded main character and sets up the comics’ humor wonderfully. But if I had TWO votes… I’d have voted for Alec. Alec’s had the best emotional character growth out of anyone in the comic thus far, and I really love what you’ve done with him.
…but if I had THREE votes? Totally Meinji.
As for female…Hyo-Sonn wasn’t an option, so it had to be Foxx. It very well may have been Foxx anyway, but Hyo-Sonn could definitely give her a run for her money. I just love Hyo-Sonn’s calm, composed personality compared to the rest of Sunny’s group and wish she’d have more impactful screen time, but aside from her Foxx is the best option. Foxx is the best “modern life” guide for Alec and Brooke and she’s had some great character growth. Sally would be my third choice, but mostly just because… ♥ damn ♥. >_>
I voted for Alec and Brooke. Alec because I like my straight laced optimistic heroes. And Brooke because SHE’S ADORABLE. And awesome.
After the last time Alec got shot, didn’t Dana help him modify his armor so it’s now bulletproof?
Who who shoot Brooke?
@Westside guy
Dana added some kevlar to help make it more bullet resistant, yes, but…
1: Only against small-caliber rounds.
2: It’s still only a section of the *armor*, not the rest of him.
3: Still hurts like heck to get shot and would probably take him out of the fight, even if it’s less likely to be lethal.
My favorite character WAS Meinji but now he’s rehabilitated and living in Japan, so that comedy goldmine is gone. So I picked Tadashi. As a person I would like Alec better, but as a character, I like Tadashi more.
And for female characters, honestly it’s a draw between Sally and Dana for me. I ultimately voted for Dana though since I’ve already publicly complimented Sally.
I voted for Brooke because she’s just a lovable character.
I voted Menji (and I hope I got it right, he’s the guy who thinks the world is a video game) just because of our ridiculous a concept that is, in real life.
I think it’s good that he’s not an every day character, but when he shows up with his pokebag, ready for action, it’s always a treat.
