If the Witch warps away again, Tadashi is pretty much lost. Alec ended up in a pretty familiar location after the Witch threw him (check the arc around #295) but I don’t recognize where Tadashi ended up.
What the witch should do now is open up a portal and start closing it but not really go in it, just to trick Tadashi into thinking that’s where she went.
You know what makes me wondering ? I had a Quake 2 character model somewhere in my collection that exactly looks like the witch, colours and all – but that’s a thing of way more than a decade ago ?
@Marscaleb: It is indeed Vivian, though she’s grown up a bit since the last time we saw her. Tadashi can now claim he’s been to Alec’s home for three-quarters of a second.
Yes, that’s the one! It was quite fun to play. Still got her somewhere in my Quake 2 files. Had also awesome skins. It’s one of the best models I got. Great job! Sadly, I don’t get to play much Q2 any more and FFA servers are usually full of hackers.
Thanks! Back when I was into Quake 2 I only had really bad dialup, so I mostly played against Eraserbots that used models and skins I had created. I kind of miss those days. I’m tempted to buy Quake 2 again for Steam to see if I can put my old player models back in and get some nicer screenshots, for the sake of nostalgia.
Get the gog.com version. It’s more mod-friendly, I’m told. Still have my original copy from god-knows-when. But all the old mod stuff is scattered over tons of CDs and external harddrives. The latest installment with all the mods got corrupt ed when the HDD did it last fiery ride to Digital-Valhalla. So I have to dig very, very deep in archives dating back to that golden age. Got a whole room cluttered with old stuff.
You can tell Tadashi is really, really focused… he didn’t even stop to hit on the elf lady.

@Westside Guy: Well, he has Sally.
Drow, “That’s what I get for shopping in Waterdeep.”
also is that the same dark elf that tried to seduce Alec way back when?
I’m expecting her to leave him in a different dimension.
@Eposi You mean Vivian?
Could be; she’s got the same hairstyle and facial features.

Are you talking about this Quake 2 model?
I created this model back in the day. 🙂 I never would have imagined anybody would make the connection. Yes, the Witch predates this comic.

Oh, hi Vivian
