#267 International Literacy Day
I have to share a secret with you… I never learned how to read. It has made my life very challenging. Well, the other day I read on the internet that International Literacy Day was coming up, so I decided to help all my readers out by creating a page that encourages them to learn how to read. Yay for books!
Pretty impressive to be able to write without being able to read. 😀
LOVE the “slightly disappointing power of imagination”!
Is it just me, or is Brooke’s book different at DrunkDuck? (Looks) is it different, there are at least three versions, one here, one at DD, one at CD.
Wouldn’t it have been more useful to make a strip that taught you how to read?
I loved the monster at the end of the book! 😀
Although I must say that Lane’s version is probably more in tune with the cynical pessimist I am today.
Win.
Get lost, kid.
😀 totally win
I think you still have to pick the right book to have no social stigma. Nobody’ll knock you for laying around reading, say, the Illiad, but if you’ve cracked open a bodice-ripper or something with a wizard on the cover people may still give you some flack.
Comics like these made me wish you had more time for gags. These are great Reed!
LOL! Love this comic!
