#610 The Finisher

While working my way through this part of the story, I realized that if the Finisher wanted to be REALLY clever, he would gain the characters’ trust just like this, then trick them into being killed by the security agency. This would fulfill his contract hit while also “hiding the bodies” by having them killed legally by law enforcement. While this would make the Finisher seem like a pretty slick assassin, it would also result in our heroes being dead, so I couldn’t do it.
And besides, the hit is off. The Finisher is professional enough to look beyond the loss of his team and see the long-term circumstances.
I like the Finisher. He’s a professional who knows not to kill potential employers when the hit on said prospects is called off.
Wonder if he’ll gain more weapons and spawn points by finishing the mission this way?
@Macuelos Later he’ll come back and repeat the level using just his fists.
I find Brooke’s comment at the end very funny.
Now, where’s the fourth guy of Slate Security? He must be somewhere.
Poor Finisher.
He sat through an entire teen vampire movie for NOTHING.
Poor, poor Finisher.
Why don’t you have a patreon button? Heck, I’d kick in a fiver for kickstarter if I had it to spare and got a DDL.
@Aasgier I love how Alex’s hand, coming in from her right, is reaching to grab her.
Fun comments on this page! Thanks, you guys.
@Aasgier: The fourth guy was somewhere else in the building… I probably should have addressed it, really. When you mention four guys and only handle three of them, people are only right to wonder.
@Andrew: Thanks! That’s very generous, Andrew. What’s a DDL? I’ve tried to avoid making money on this comic since my financial situation is okay right now and it helps me feel less guilty when I miss an update. But if my work situation ever changes for the worse, I won’t rule out Patreon.
