Thing is that if Lane meets his objectives with Atharion, he would be in a very good position to free Sunny’s parents. Lane is not stupid and as such I am pretty sure he has realized this as well.
At the same time, he is right – Sunny’s parents are not his responsibility, but with Atharion under his control freeing them should be much more doable.
Sunny has very little reason to actually turn on Lane once she realizes this herself as well (especially since actually destroying Atharion entirely would make the goal of freeing her parents significantly harder to meet).
Has Sunny truly turned a new leaf, or will she turn on Lane? Has Lane put himself on the hook by helping Sunny off it?
Tune in next week to find out – same bat time, same bat channel!

~Promptly drops the sweater~
Lane: F^^k it, not taking any chances.
It would be ironic if one of the tears in the sweatshirt which were caused by Sunny’s earlier attack now led to it coming apart as she hangs from it…
